Despite recent advances, growth in Biostatistics in West and Central Africa still lags, and collective efforts are needed to push the discipline forward. This workshop organized by HRH-SEMCA will bring together experts from West and Central Africa, but also from Europe and the US and earlier career young researchers in the field of Biostatistics/Biomathematics to:

(i) Review of the state of capacity building in Biostatistics/Biomathematics in West and Central Africa;

(ii) Update their knowledge of recent advances in Biostatistics/Biomathematics in West and Central Africa;

(iii) Reflect on mobilizing funding to strengthen biostatistics resources in West and Central Africa.
