Title of Research Project
Modelling the impact of climate on cholera disease transmission dynamics in Africa
Abstract of Research Project
This study aims to build an optimal model to investigate the dynamics of cholera transmission under the effect of key climatic variables in West Africa, by year 2050, using spatial regression and ML models.
More specifically, the study seeks to address the following questions: (i) what are the climatic factors that influence the dynamics of cholera transmission in West Africa?
(ii) how and to what extent do these factors affect the dynamics of cholera transmission in West Africa, and (iii) what will be the incidence of the disease by 2050 - 2060 based on the climate predictions?
